SUMMER
Things of note for you and yours on a beautifulful end of summer day
TKG005 is done and it's a celebration of Kuma's What It's Not riddim. L.A. to NYC legend, MC Juakali has vocalled the track in his own distinct for something very special. You tell us what it is, we'll tell you what it's not.
To counterpoint Juakali, there's afro-jazz space cadet and broken beat rhythm queen, Amalia Townsend. We gave her What It's Not and carte blanche. A few weeks back, a song called "Fall" dropped in our laps. Miss Fuze has indeed set this one off like dynamite.
Topping it all off, we handed the bits nd pieces over to one of our favorite producers of the last while, Grievous Angel, who's taken What It's Not and tuned it into a deep, dark, steppy piece of abstract garage which is going to be huge. More news on this soon.
Kuma and Gunshae are working on reversions for the Blood of Heroes remix album forthcoming on Ohm Resistance. If all goes to plan, Ohm label boss and old friend, Submerged, should be getting his hands on something of ours.
Kuma' remix of Clubroot's "Dulcet" will be out this fall on LoDubs.
We have also licensed Kuma's "Of Silence and Secrecy" to a forthcoming compilation coming out on New York's Agriculture label.
Lady Eve's Panambient FM show at Fnoob.com is now two broadcasts deep and pushing further into uncharted ambient territory. Pan Ambient FM airs every fortnight at 9pm (BST) /1 pm (PST).
Gunshae will be performing at Quiet City at Blim in Vancouver on October 15th, this will be Gunshae's first public performance of 2010.
