Gunshae
has brand new audio and video from their performance at the
Signal and Noise Festival in Vancouver available for listening/viewng
on their page now.
This September (the 12th) the be precise, Breakbeat Science will be
releasing the first in a series of mix CD's focusing on the
ever-growing bass music scenes through out the world. A different sound
for every headspace. Baltimore club and baille funk are due later in
the year but the first mix will be a dubstep excursion mixed by none
other that Offshore Recordings own DJ Clever.
Say what? A drum and bass dude mixing dubstep? If anyone could
swing it, it's Clever, whose own d&b tendencies are as rhythmically
expressive as they come and he's put together a CD that should do
wonders towards helping spread dubstep throughout North America. Trust
us, this is only the beginning...
Originally, this tour was just going to be Brett but then we
figured, why not make it even more exciting? Clever's mix features a
ton of material from both Planet-Mu and Hotflush Recordings so why not
bring Scuba in on it? He's been killing it as of late...so, we have for
you, Scuba and Clever, a duo destined to melt your minds.
Dates available: Sept 28 through Oct 15
We'd like to welcome Joe Nice
to the family. The man with the 410
formula is the lord of North American dubstep and an amazing DJ.
We've already started booking him across the country so book now
or miss out on the experience.
We are handling dates for drum and bass legend T-Power, who will be in
North America May through early July. The man has a new album due to
drop very soon called Music4Life and
needless to say, it's the next shit. All bookings are being handled by
TKG's first mate, Eve Mori. Hit her up with interest at eve(at)thekonspiracygroup.com
Oh yes, you can expect big changes afoot here. Expect a
repositioning of the brand and some other changes shortly. Yes, perhaps
even some new faces on the roster. The booking is just one of many
angles we deal with and it's time to let the other ones loose.
We figured we'd join in the fun and get on MySpace, so so send us a
message and keep up to date with everything we've got going on.

Big ups and much respect to everyone that came out to FWD001. Serious merkage and bass madness as had. Photos shortly.
Another
transmission from your friends in the Konspiracy Group, still rolling
along as we head into fall with lots of shit on the go. I keep hearing
rumours we are leftfield in some way, not a bad thing, in fact, if you
can't stand the same old thing, we may just be for you.
Say hello to our the newsest addition to our roster. His name is
Submerged. Some of you may be familiar with his label, Ohm Resistance,
his distinct brand of punk rock drum and bass productions and his toast
throwing abilities. He's also a long time friend and associate so it
makes snese to add him to our merry brand of miscreants.
Starting this fall, we're putting on a series of shows in Vancouver
we've named simply "The Forward Series." Drum and bass, hip-hop,
electro, dubstep, dancehall and more comin' out of the speakers in an
attempt to shake that ass with some shit the city has never heard
before. We've also got at least one big announcement about additions to
the roster coming real soon, so stay tuned.
We figured we'd join in the fun and get on MySpace, so so send us a
message and keep up to date with everything we've got going on.

In any case, here's what's going on with us:
Booking Now: UFO! - The Return Of The Alien Tour : October/November 2005
The deep thunder is coming, the man who helped pioneer American D&B
is back. The man who put the Teck in Phunckateck...From sculpting
sounds for video games and CBS's TV series "CSI: New York" to working
in an indie format with his band Mixed Signals and creating jungle
anthems like "Enemy Infiltration" , Ed Garro has done it all. Fusing a
hip-hop sensibility with a forward thinking technological bent, the
Phunckateck legends live set is unlike anything else out there. And
now..you can experience the legend. Booking now and dates are going
fast so dont sleep!
After the success of his "BBS Exercise 05" Cd and its accomponying tour
(check the CD reviews via DJClever.com), the deviant mind behind
Offshore Recordings has been plotting new ways to subvert the
dancefloor via the vinyl medium. That's right fuckers, DJ Clever is
putting out more records. OSR014 (ASC ft. Intex Systems- Drum
Track 3 [Heatsink]/Fresh) is in shops now as a full art promo! If you
haven't picked one up yet, then do so soon. Further down the pipeline,
Deep Blue's "Do You Voodoo? (Ror-shak Rmx) / Who Got the Beats" and the
rumoured appearance of some very special mixes of Sileni's "Twitchy
Droid Leg" Oh..btw.. SUICIDEOSR002..Klute & Pieter K
"Material Trip" / Martsman "Ago" is on TP now.
Qzen was the reason we got into the booking game and lord knows she is killing it right now!
She's just finished another tune with the mighty John Tejada on the
ever-lovely techlectro tip and you European cats will more likely get
to catch the two of em' in action in early October. Moxie Musik, her
weekly radio show with DJ Animal Style, continues to roll strong
Sundays 9-11pm on WAR 93.7fm in San Frnacisco or streaming online via
westaddradio.com. You can download past shows or subscribe to the
podcast from myspace.com/moxiemusik. They're on AIM with the screenname
"MoxieDJ" while they're on-air, so hit them up!
People have been asking for a tech/haus mix from the Q, here it is.

.
Abstract is in New York now. There's a four piece band in the works
featuring himself, UFO!, a wee lass named Kimi and someone else we're
not sure of. Watch this space. As always, Abstract is available for
drum and bass and electro-punk sets.
Eve, the southern belle of the roster has been busy as of late with frequent gigging but in the live and DJ arenas.
She's been making beats with Kuma under the name Abunaii, you can check the drum and bass vibrations at
http://www.myspace.com/abunaii.
Eve's also on some completely different shit as the latest member of
our resident live ambient thing, Gunshae, bringing the live oboe sounds
to the madness. Heavyweight vibes from a classically trained soldier.
Check the sounds here: http://www.newmusiccanada.com/genres/artist.cfm?Band_Id=8566. Radio sounds on the table too, catch Eve in the mix weekly on Art Of Beatz Radio.
Ill-esha remains the wild card on the roster, having just returned from a
windswept assault mission in Taiwan! If you'd not noticed the ruckus in
your record store, "Social Skills", the Datcyde tune that she vocalised
on was recently re-released by Breakbeat Science with a classy Polar
re-working of a Pieter K tune. Yummy.
Catch her production work here:
http://www.myspace.com/illesha
Kuma's up to no good as always. Fresh beat and drones in the studio
plus kicking the Forward Series into high gear seems to be keeping
smallbear in the corner going.
Rumour has it, there's a dubstep and grime mix in the works. Keep an ear out, more sounds than words from our boy.
Drop us a line, book someone for your next rave, clubnight, bar mitzvah or hoedown.
